Money Making at the Mint (1946)
The footage shown here might have been shot a year after the end of the war but it still gives an indication of the conditions under which coins were struck at Tower Hill in London throughout the conflict. By 1946 the women working in the factory were starting to relinquish their roles to men returning from active service but it is noticeable how many were employed in production of coins.
